Covercraft Universal Pet Pad for Bench Seat, CoalReviewsWorks great in 2009 Accord. I use to kid-proof the backseats. I had to cut a few holes to anchor the kid's car seats. Not perfect. But it is better than anything else I found. the elastic at the top does not hold it on the seat very well, I constantly have to reposition it and I have no way of attaching it to the bottom of the seat? It is a good quality material though, it just needs better ties especially for the top part. Average Rating:![]() |

Optima 34/78 YellowTop 870A 12V Extreme Vibration Resistant BatteryReviewsI bought eight of the Optima yellow top batteries for house batteries in a sailboat for the convenience of AGM, no fill, no spill, etc. These batteries are charged by a state of the art 4 stage regulator, plus solar panels on a microprocessor charge controller. The batteries are all in one bank and charged/discharged equally and never below 85%. In other words they are pampered. Now the bad, one battery failed within a week of installation. It started gassing and heating up even under a light charge. After about a year another one developed an internal short and its voltage dropped to around 8V. It was easy to detect by just touching the top. It was warmer than the rest. Six months after that, two more developed internal shorts with the same symptoms. These batteries are over rated. It appears that the build quality from battery varies widely. I will never buy another one. I was hesitant to buy this because of all the reviews saying the battery was poorly packaged and would arrive damaged. Knowing Amazon has a good returns policy, I took the chance and ordered it. I'm in NY and the battery was shipped by truck cross country (I watched the tracking updates). It took about a week for it to arrive. When I finally received it, I realized I was lucky. The battery was in good condition with no breaks or scratches on it. At the same time, it came in a simple cardboard box with some cushioning on top, but nothing on the bottom. This is a very heavy item and it's very easy to visualize the bottom of the battery getting damaged during a long truck ride as there is no protection whatsoever between the bottom of the battery and the 1/4 inch cardboard box it comes in. I don't get it, sometimes they go overboard & package the most trivial of items in styrofoam and bubble wrap, and with this 50lb. item it's basically just covered in 1/4 inch of cardboard. The battery itself seems fine- ...started my car up fine (although I can't comment on it over the long term just yet). I decided to order this battery through Amazon since it was about $50 cheaper than local retailers. Since I've never purchased a car battery online, I called Amazon and Optima to ask how a warranty claim would work when the battery was purchased through Amazon. The people I spoke with gave me some very surprising information, which I thought I'd share with you: 1. Amazon only accepts returns for up to 30 days after the item was purchased. After 30 days, the customer will be referred to the manufacturer of the item. 2. Optima refers all online purchases back to the original retailer. The full warranty cannot be honored through Optima unless the battery was purchased from one of Optima's authorized online retailers. The authorized retailers are shown on Optima's site; Amazon is not one of them. 3. Optima is unable to honor any warranty for batteries purchased through Amazon because Optima is unaware of the condition of the batteries, the shipping procedures, how long the batteries have been in a warehouse, etc. The Optima Yellow Top series are arguably some of the best auto batteries currently on the market, but the money saved by buying from Amazon clearly isn't worth the almost nonexistent warranty. I bought this car battery to replace a old worn out battery. I decided to use a less powered battery because I live in the west cost bay area.but what I didn't realize is the battery wasn't a direct fit .I had to cut and modify the holder that came with the battery. kinda hokey but it all works good after 2 months no problems. Everything I had hoped for in a car battery.. strong cold cranking amps and a huge reserve capacity. My lights don't dim anymore when the bass on my stereo hits hard or when the AC is running. This is in a 97 volkswagen vr6. Had a redtop before but it finally crapped out after about 7 years and way too many discharges. Big thumbs up for any optima battery. Average Rating:![]() |

Hopkins 46365 Short Proof Power ConverterReviewsIt worked great! Amazon had the lowest price anywhere and included shipping. I went to all other local auto parts stores and they all had to order it and wanted more money. Unit was easy to install and seems to work fine. I used this on my Harley Road KIng. I originally bought high priced components from a motorcycle specific store for my trailer connection. Those cost over $150 and burnt out within a short time. This Hoppy unit was much cheaper, easier to install and looks much more rugged. Working great so far and I am very impressed with Amazon. Great buy! This Hoppy tail light converter is the Heavy Duty "short proof" model. I burnt out 2 of the light duty ones before I spent the bucks for this HD one. I could have saved a o lot of money if I had went with it first. Plus I was able to purchase it on Amazon at a much lower price than I could anywhere else. Like [........] cheaper. I will now always check Amazon.com on everything!! This is the unit that you want. I had to replace the trailer adapter that came with our Subaru Forester. The lights on the trailer were acting really strange. It seems that when one of the tail lights burned out it took the electrical adapter with it. The Hopkins 46365 is short proof, was easy to install, and works great. This is the unit that you want to convert separate brake and directional signals to a single bulb system. Moderate experience installation. All parts included for installation. Most time spent running red power wire under carpeting to engine compartment. No need to change flasher with or w/o trailer lights plugged in. This is a splice it yourself kit, you have to know which wires to splice into, so you'll need to know your wiring harness. Install was easy for me because I was replacing a burned out converter that was plug and play. The wires on the old converter were marked, so I just wired right up to those. The directions suck (hence 4 stars instead of 5) The hardest part is getting a feed up to the battery, as this has it's own VBATT circuit to prevent burning out your car's lighting circuits. Just takes some time working your way along the floor trim and finding a hole in the firewall. I've had too many problems with shorts on trailers taking out cheapo converters, so I figured it was worth the extra dough. So far, I'm satisfied. Installed on a 2000 Jeep Cherokee. K&N 99-5000 Aerosol Recharger Filter Care Service KitReviewsThis is a must if you own a reusable K&N filter. I bought a used car a few weeks ago, noticed that the guy had a K&N filter on it. Figured I'd give it a cleaning. WOW was the filter dirty. The filter was completely black and covered in road-grime. I followed the instructions provided with the "Recharge" kit. Took a little over a hour to clean, due to waiting for the filter to air dry and waiting for the oil to settle. The car is more responsive and makes a lot more power up top, according my butt-dyno. :D I have a K&N life time filter and I buy this once a year to recharge it. Works great the cleaner really cleans it well. I usually use the entire bottle of cleaner up but not the oil. The only downside is the fact you have to wait for it to try before putting it back in the car. I usually do the change before I go to bed and put it back in the car when I wake up in the morning. Taking it out cleaning and putting it back in usually takes about 30 to 40 minutes. What do you say about a cleaning product? Yes, it works as promised. Yes, I feel better that my clean air filter is better protecting my $40k truck. Yes, it was easy to do. No, I don't LIKE doing it. But hey, years ago I had a crummy paper filter come apart and suck up into the mass-airflow-sensor... disabling the truck and costing over $100 to diagnose and fix, so I'll stick with K&N! Well OK, I felt a bit more "manly" working on the truck too. :) A bit expensive, but this item is great at doing the job it is meant to do. Always cleans and re-oils the filter without issues. Make sure to get the aerosol oil rather than the squeeze. You pretty much don't have a choice if you purchase a K&N air filter...you have to have the recharger. The question is whether or not you want to purchase it along with your first-time purchase of the K&N air filter. I just went ahead and purchased everything to take advantage of the free shipping. However, it's going to be quite some time before I actually have to use it (50,000 miles in some cases where conditions are great). So if you don't mind storing this stuff for later on, then get it now. Otherwise, I'd just wait till you actually need it. I went with the spray just for convenience. It seems easier and faster to apply compared to dropping the liquid in straight lines along all the ridges. However, it could be a bit messy if you're not careful. Average Rating:![]() |

Rain-X 5079274 Latitude 8-In-1 Premium Graphite Coated Wiper Blade - 16"ReviewsThey were easy to install, and they've worked flawlessly so far. I'm happy with this purchase. Some of the BEST wiper blades I have ever used. Bought at my local Tire Shop and they were $35 each...wow so much cheaper here. These seem to last a real long time and they are simple to install. Simply love them. I've never been let down by a latitude wiper. Cleans superior to everything else I've used. I love the product. Contrary to what Chrysler states in the owner's manual [and even the "See If It Fits" box on Amazon(!)] for the new Jeep Wrangler JK, you CAN use 16-inch wiper blades with NO fitment issues whatsoever. I repeat-- even though it's claimed that 16-inch blades will not fit--they will, and do! The blades reach to the outermost edge of the windshield with about an eighth of an inch to spare, summer and winter, which clears a significantly larger amount of windshield acreage than the stock 15-inchers. The frameless design exerts constant pressure along the full length of the blade. which allows it to cling to the windshield even at highway speeds, and with no bulky frame, they are not affected by heavy rain, sleet or snow/ice build-up. The result is a clean windshield in any weather. The difference is remarkable! I purchased a set of Rain X Latitude wipers a year ago for my H 2 Hummer. They worked great but after about 3,000 miles one of them was streaking. I recently replaced it with another Latitude wiper purchased from Amazon at a great price of $8.00. They were $16.00 at the auto store. It was easy to install; but, the new blade does not wipe that great. It misses some areas of my windshield. The old blade that I didn't replace still works good. So, I will try another brand next time. Average Rating:![]() |

Pulstar be1i Iridium Pulse Spark Plug, Pack of 1ReviewsI have had these for 2 weeks now. I installed them on my 2006 Jetta 2.5L. My average MPG has gone from 23 to 28 in the very little I have driven in the past 2 weeks. I think there may be a slight performance increase but I'm not sure yet. The concept is solid, though there is a lot of skepticism about these, do know that there are 2 versions of these. There is the OLD version which retails for about $24, and the new which is around $12. The old models are troublesome so be sure to get the new ones. With PROPER GAPPING, and experienced installation, they should work flawlessly. When you put this in your bike it will not run right at first. If you have a computer on board to ajust the fuel intake just ride the bike for about 30 min and it will ajust it for you. If like me you have a carberator then you will need to richen (increase) fuel flow. I have a 101 indian Cheaf motor. Its 101 because of the numerous differant things done to the motor and it has a single fire ignistion with a Holly two barrow carb. After tweeking the flow (richer) it is instantly noticable. The throutal is very responsive. They say it increases fuel economy and with increasing fuel flow that seems counterproductive. But it takes less throutal to do the same speed as befor for my bike. Have not put it on a dino to get numbers but it is noticabaly quicker. My bike has well over 100hp at tire and had become boring to me after riding it for years. Just adding the plugs made my eyes get big again. It is definitly the least exspinsive way to add horsepower to the bike. I just got these Iridium plugs in my 2006 Saab 9-3, and I'm thoroughly pleased! I've seen a slight increase in fuel economy, but I haven't had time to measure the real result yet. The best part was definitely the power. It has greatly improved my agility, torque and get up and go. Plus, this increase in power doesn't affect the environment. It actually burns the fuel more efficiently so I still get to be more green! I highly recommend - a worthwhile product. It was easy to install too (20 minutes). I have had great results from the Pulstar plugs. I recently (Spring 2010) installed them in my 92' Lexus ES300 as well as in my 92' Jeep Wrangler 4 cylinder. In both vehicles I have experienced fuel economy gains of approximately 10%. The Lexus now averages 23mpg in the city which I think is pretty good for a 18 year old 6 cylinder engine. Also, I averaged 23 mpg on the highway for the Jeep during a recent long road trip. Both vehicles now seem to idle more smoothly. My father-in-law has had similar improvements in his 2002 Honda Civic (I think he now averages 37mpg). Overall I am very happy with these plugs. I bought a set of these plugs hoping to improve performance and gas milage. I wasn't expecting the 12% milage increase as the advertising claims, I was hoping for a little improvement. I carefully kept track of the milage from the first three tankfuls of gas and found it to be WORSE than before. I Installed the plugs along with a new distributor, rotor, plug wires...so I see no reason things didn't improve except for unsubstantiated claims about these spark plugs. Average Rating:![]() |

Pulstar plugs are the first real breakthrough in spark plug technology in over 120 years. They look and fit like spark plugs but contain an integrated electrical device called a capacitor. The capacitor peaks the energy of the spark plug in much the same way that a camera flash intensifies light... |

1951-1953
Introduced on March 31, 1951, the 1951 Plymouth Belvedere arrived as a two-door pillarless hardtop. It was Plymouth's first vehicle of such design and was built in response to Chevrolet's Bel Air. That vehicle, the first two-door hardtop in the low-priced American market, was introduced in 1950 and ended that model year with great success.
The 1951 Belvedere was not a separate model - rather, it was the top-trim Cranbrook. Being built on that car's 118.5 in (3010 mm) wheelbase gave the two-door Belvedere very favorable proportions. Powering the Belvedere was the familiar flathead straight-6 engine. Displacement was 217.8 in³ (3.6 L), the compression ratio was a relatively low 7.00:1, and output was 97 hp (72 kW) (SAE gross). First year prices started at US$2,114.
For 1952, Plymouth kept the Cranbrook Belvedere largely unchanged. The biggest alteration was to the color scheme; to further distinguish the top-level Belvedere from other Plymouths, the two toning now flowed from the roof over the beltline onto the trunk, which has been referred to as the "saddleback" treatment. Two Tone color schemes were Saddle Bronze over Suede, Black over Mint Green, and Gray over Blue. Overdrive was made available as optional equipment in the '52 Plymouth. In overdrive, the engine made three revolutions for each rear wheel revolution against four without overdrive. The engine was a complete carry over from 1951. Prices, however, did increase by about US$100 to $2,216. Production for 1951 and 1952 totalled 51,266 units, which was slightly better than a quarter of Chevrolet Bel Air and Ford Victoria production for that same period. There has never been a separate breakout for Plymouth production figures for the Korean War era years of 1951-52.
The Belvedere remained a part of the Cranbrook series through 1953. For that year, all Plymouth models were completely restyled. Major style changes included a shorter 114 in wheelbase, a one-piece windshield, flush rear fenders, and a lower hood line. In April 1953, Plymouths received the Hy-Drive semi-automatic transmission. Again, Plymouth was behind the competition with Chevrolet having introduced the fully automatic Powerglide transmission in 1950, with Ford following the next year with its fully automatic Ford-O-Matic transmission. The engine was carried over from 1952 with the only enhancement being a slight increase in the compression ratio to 7.10:1, which yielded a gross horsepower rating of 100. The shorter wheelbase partly led to an overall stubby appearance that was panned by consumers and critics. Even with a reduced starting price of US$2,132 demand was rather low. A total of 35,185 1953 Belevederes were sold.
