Plymouth Satellite
The Plymouth Satellite is an automobile introduced in 1965 as the top model in Plymouth's mid-size Belvedere line. The Satellite remained the top of the line model until the 1967 model year, where it became the mid-price model with the GTX taking its place as the top model. The Fury name was moved to Plymouth's mid-size models for 1975, at which time the Satellite name disappeared. The Satellite was built on Chrysler's mid-size "B" platform.

Covercraft Universal Pet Pad for Bench Seat, CoalReviewsWorks great in 2009 Accord. I use to kid-proof the backseats. I had to cut a few holes to anchor the kid's car seats. Not perfect. But it is better than anything else I found. the elastic at the top does not hold it on the seat very well, I constantly have to reposition it and I have no way of attaching it to the bottom of the seat? It is a good quality material though, it just needs better ties especially for the top part. Average Rating:![]() |

Optima 34/78 YellowTop 870A 12V Extreme Vibration Resistant BatteryReviewsI bought eight of the Optima yellow top batteries for house batteries in a sailboat for the convenience of AGM, no fill, no spill, etc. These batteries are charged by a state of the art 4 stage regulator, plus solar panels on a microprocessor charge controller. The batteries are all in one bank and charged/discharged equally and never below 85%. In other words they are pampered. Now the bad, one battery failed within a week of installation. It started gassing and heating up even under a light charge. After about a year another one developed an internal short and its voltage dropped to around 8V. It was easy to detect by just touching the top. It was warmer than the rest. Six months after that, two more developed internal shorts with the same symptoms. These batteries are over rated. It appears that the build quality from battery varies widely. I will never buy another one. I was hesitant to buy this because of all the reviews saying the battery was poorly packaged and would arrive damaged. Knowing Amazon has a good returns policy, I took the chance and ordered it. I'm in NY and the battery was shipped by truck cross country (I watched the tracking updates). It took about a week for it to arrive. When I finally received it, I realized I was lucky. The battery was in good condition with no breaks or scratches on it. At the same time, it came in a simple cardboard box with some cushioning on top, but nothing on the bottom. This is a very heavy item and it's very easy to visualize the bottom of the battery getting damaged during a long truck ride as there is no protection whatsoever between the bottom of the battery and the 1/4 inch cardboard box it comes in. I don't get it, sometimes they go overboard & package the most trivial of items in styrofoam and bubble wrap, and with this 50lb. item it's basically just covered in 1/4 inch of cardboard. The battery itself seems fine- ...started my car up fine (although I can't comment on it over the long term just yet). I decided to order this battery through Amazon since it was about $50 cheaper than local retailers. Since I've never purchased a car battery online, I called Amazon and Optima to ask how a warranty claim would work when the battery was purchased through Amazon. The people I spoke with gave me some very surprising information, which I thought I'd share with you: 1. Amazon only accepts returns for up to 30 days after the item was purchased. After 30 days, the customer will be referred to the manufacturer of the item. 2. Optima refers all online purchases back to the original retailer. The full warranty cannot be honored through Optima unless the battery was purchased from one of Optima's authorized online retailers. The authorized retailers are shown on Optima's site; Amazon is not one of them. 3. Optima is unable to honor any warranty for batteries purchased through Amazon because Optima is unaware of the condition of the batteries, the shipping procedures, how long the batteries have been in a warehouse, etc. The Optima Yellow Top series are arguably some of the best auto batteries currently on the market, but the money saved by buying from Amazon clearly isn't worth the almost nonexistent warranty. I bought this car battery to replace a old worn out battery. I decided to use a less powered battery because I live in the west cost bay area.but what I didn't realize is the battery wasn't a direct fit .I had to cut and modify the holder that came with the battery. kinda hokey but it all works good after 2 months no problems. Everything I had hoped for in a car battery.. strong cold cranking amps and a huge reserve capacity. My lights don't dim anymore when the bass on my stereo hits hard or when the AC is running. This is in a 97 volkswagen vr6. Had a redtop before but it finally crapped out after about 7 years and way too many discharges. Big thumbs up for any optima battery. Average Rating:![]() |

Audiovox Sirius FMDA25 FM Direct Adapter (Black)ReviewsI have a 1992 Ford Taurus and was very sketchy about installing this because my car is so old and I've never messed with my radio but I was SICK of paying for GREAT RADIO, which Sirius is, and having static at every stop light and getting crappy reception in different spots of driving. This adapter is 100% hands down amazing. I bought mine brand new and installed it correctly, it works incredible. This is a 5 STAR item if you're a SIRIUS/XM fan and you want crystal clear audio in your car with a dock & play SIRIUS radio. Great piece of equiptment. The FMDA25 FM Direct Adapter was exactly what I needed for my new Onyx XM radio. I originally installed my XM radio without the FM Direct Adapter and was getting interference from local FM radio stations. After installing the FMDA25, the interference is gone. For those unfamiliar with this product, it works its magic by electronically disconnecting your factory antenna each time you switch the satellite radio on. To accomplish this, the FMDA25 is inserted between your car's radio and its antenna. That is to say that you must get to the back of your car radio, unplug the antenna, and plug it into the FMDA25. If you're not comfortable pulling the radio out, you may want to hire someone to install this. Also note that different manufacturers use various sized antenna connectors so be prepared to purchase an adapter or two to make everything come together. For instance, my 2010 FORD F-150 required two adapters, both IN and OUT. Fortunately BEST BUY had them in stock but they were [...] bucks each! If my radio had come with an AUX IN connection, I would have used that - but it didn't. The FMDA25 is the next best thing. Very easy installation once the cars radio is removered.Simply disconnect existing Antenna and plug it into the adapter, the adapter has another end which plugs into the radio. This item eliminates running the Sirius wire and works as well if not better than the original Sirius piece. I ordered this to use with my XM Skydock. I wasn't sure if it would work with XM's skydock as I couldn't find any answer online but I gave it a shot anyways and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it indeed does work with the Skydock. For my vehicle, it was necessary to use an antenna adapter but I had no problem using it with the direct adapter. The sound quality of my satellite radio greatly improved after installing the direct adapter as my vehicle has a diversity antenna system which allows it to pick up distant radio stations therefore reducing the number of radio stations that I could use in my area to almost nil. This product works fantastic! I live in an area where the FM stations are close together and have a lot of trouble getting a dead area to use. This unit completely solved my problem. However the area you check vehichle fit is not accurate. My 2003 Dodge Caravan will not fit without some adapting. The standard adapters cost as much or more than I paid for the unit. The unit uses Motorola type rf connections where as the Chrysler products have there own thing that is not even close. My fix was to go to the local electronics store and pick up a male and female Motorola plug and socket (about $3 each), cut the antenna wire and install them in line. That way if you ever decide to remove the FM adapter all you have to do is connect it direct. Hope this is useful, it is the best economical fix I could come up with and it doesn't matter what type vehichle you have. Average Rating:![]() |

Pioneer CD-XMPCAR1 XMp3 Car KitReviewsi purchased this car kit for my pioneer xm radio. It arrived quickly and was packaged very well. The kit had exactly what it said it would and it was in perfect working order. I would definately buy from this company again. Since I already had car kits in both of my vehicles, I ordered this kit just for the cradle to fit my new XMp3. It fits fine, and works well. The kit comes with everything needed to do a complete installation. However, if you have an older vehicle, that has only a tape player, a useful thing to add is the tape player adapter. That is what I use, and the sound is great. So if you want to go on the road with your XMp3 radio, this kit is the way to go. Great product, but you definitely need either FM Direct (Sold separately) or DirectConnect (also separately) if you do not have an aux input on your car stereo. At this price, it should certainly come with some way to enhance the signal to your FM radio. Unlike the older models (which I used to own) this model DOES NOT automatically have enough strength to override a station effectively. Don't be like me, order everything you need the first time so you dont have to wait months after Christmas to finally use it! Once you have it all in place and have installed everything, the new xmp3 is great. Recording music is AWESOME. I love it and use it all the time. I installed this Pioneer CD-XMPCAR1 kit on my BMW dual sport R1200GS Adventure motorcycle so that I can listen to XM radio via earbuds. The system works great. I remove the docking device whenever I ride in the rain. I am a XM radio fan and have XM receivers installed on my Harley-Davidson touring bikes. This Pioneer car install kit allows me to use my XMP3 while riding a BMW. If I loose satellite recption when riding in canyons, etc. I can continue to listen to use the MP3 funtion Pioneer XMP3 portible XM receiver. My biggest problem with this car kit is what none of the descriptions tell you. You can't use the FM Modulator without an FM Direct kit or similar adapter. The modulator is too weak to reach you car radio reliably without it. If you're like me, and looking for a way to listen to your XMp3 through your car radio, buy the FM direct kit also. Kenwood KDC-MP342U WMA/MP3 CD Receiver with Satellite/HD Radio/Bluetooth Ready Front Panel USB/AUX InputReviewsI got a refurbished one for $87. You can not beat this deal. For the money this is an excellent unit. I can charge stuff with the usb port. I have tons of thumb drives filled with music. The ipod stays at home now. Great product but cant seen to get the remote to work, won't operate at all am I doing something wrong or could it be a small defect? Other than that I Love it. I saved about $50 by buying this on Amazon versus in store. My only problem was I needed to purchase an AM/FM adaptor cable, which the description did not advise I would need. Other than that, installation was a breeze!I sounds great, and it works perfectly with my iPhone 3Gs! bought this receiver for the price and the great customer reviews. was worried about installation since i havent installed a stereo in over 15 years. couldnt have been easier! my wifes 2nd gen ipod nano works great from the usb port however my little ipod shuffle came up as an n/a device lol - no worries...didnt think it would work since the shuffle has no menus to work with in the first place. this stereo pumps great sound and power - maybe too much for my factory speakers. lookin forward to upgrading those now. love the look and the navigation through the menus/options doesnt take long to grasp. very, very pleased! This is how business is supposed to work. I ordered the product, received confirmation. Then recieved notification of product shipment. Recieve product before I expected it to arrive. Opened the product found I got a excellent quality and well packaged device. Its the envy of the Jeeps in my lil group. Plays the MP3 files flawlessly. I would not be questioned if I told them I spent more for this than it actually cost me. Its that satisfying of a sound and quality. I dont even usually review things but this seller is top notch in my opinion. I will without any hesitation purchase from them again and I think they are the first place I have looked for items I want. If this is the level of buisness thru this vendor than I will recommend them without reservation to anyone who ask me about electronic equipment. I can write more but its all good so there I did a review and was glad to do it. Average Rating:![]() |

K&N 99-5000 Aerosol Recharger Filter Care Service KitReviewsThis is a must if you own a reusable K&N filter. I bought a used car a few weeks ago, noticed that the guy had a K&N filter on it. Figured I'd give it a cleaning. WOW was the filter dirty. The filter was completely black and covered in road-grime. I followed the instructions provided with the "Recharge" kit. Took a little over a hour to clean, due to waiting for the filter to air dry and waiting for the oil to settle. The car is more responsive and makes a lot more power up top, according my butt-dyno. :D I have a K&N life time filter and I buy this once a year to recharge it. Works great the cleaner really cleans it well. I usually use the entire bottle of cleaner up but not the oil. The only downside is the fact you have to wait for it to try before putting it back in the car. I usually do the change before I go to bed and put it back in the car when I wake up in the morning. Taking it out cleaning and putting it back in usually takes about 30 to 40 minutes. What do you say about a cleaning product? Yes, it works as promised. Yes, I feel better that my clean air filter is better protecting my $40k truck. Yes, it was easy to do. No, I don't LIKE doing it. But hey, years ago I had a crummy paper filter come apart and suck up into the mass-airflow-sensor... disabling the truck and costing over $100 to diagnose and fix, so I'll stick with K&N! Well OK, I felt a bit more "manly" working on the truck too. :) A bit expensive, but this item is great at doing the job it is meant to do. Always cleans and re-oils the filter without issues. Make sure to get the aerosol oil rather than the squeeze. You pretty much don't have a choice if you purchase a K&N air filter...you have to have the recharger. The question is whether or not you want to purchase it along with your first-time purchase of the K&N air filter. I just went ahead and purchased everything to take advantage of the free shipping. However, it's going to be quite some time before I actually have to use it (50,000 miles in some cases where conditions are great). So if you don't mind storing this stuff for later on, then get it now. Otherwise, I'd just wait till you actually need it. I went with the spray just for convenience. It seems easier and faster to apply compared to dropping the liquid in straight lines along all the ridges. However, it could be a bit messy if you're not careful. Average Rating:![]() |

Rain-X 5079274 Latitude 8-In-1 Premium Graphite Coated Wiper Blade - 16"ReviewsThe wiper works great now, when its new, its supposed to last a long time and I am anxious to see how long it does last for the high price tag. They were easy to install, and they've worked flawlessly so far. I'm happy with this purchase. Some of the BEST wiper blades I have ever used. Bought at my local Tire Shop and they were $35 each...wow so much cheaper here. These seem to last a real long time and they are simple to install. Simply love them. I've never been let down by a latitude wiper. Cleans superior to everything else I've used. I love the product. Contrary to what Chrysler states in the owner's manual [and even the "See If It Fits" box on Amazon(!)] for the new Jeep Wrangler JK, you CAN use 16-inch wiper blades with NO fitment issues whatsoever. I repeat-- even though it's claimed that 16-inch blades will not fit--they will, and do! The blades reach to the outermost edge of the windshield with about an eighth of an inch to spare, summer and winter, which clears a significantly larger amount of windshield acreage than the stock 15-inchers. The frameless design exerts constant pressure along the full length of the blade. which allows it to cling to the windshield even at highway speeds, and with no bulky frame, they are not affected by heavy rain, sleet or snow/ice build-up. The result is a clean windshield in any weather. The difference is remarkable! Average Rating:![]() |

When a new, larger Plymouth Fury was introduced for 1965 on Chrysler's full-size C platform, the Plymouth Belvedere name was moved to Plymouth's "new" mid-size line for 1965, in what was really a continuation of Plymouth's full-size 1962 to 1964 models. The Belvedere Satellite was the top trim model in the series, above the Belvedere I and II. It was only available as a two-door hardtop or convertible. Offered with bucket seats and center console as standard, the Satellite was available exclusively with V8 engines. For 1965 the standard engine was the 273 c.i.d., and optional choices were the 318, and 361, 383 and 426 'Commando' engines. This 426 had the wedge combustion chamber design, and is not the 426 'Hemi' offered in 1966. The front end was simple: a single headlight on each side, and a grille divided into 4 thin rectangles laid horizontally. The concurrent Fury was given a 'stacked' dual headlight design.
The 1965 Satellite 2-door hardtop had a production run of 23,341. In standard trim the 2-door hardtop weighed 3,220lbs and cost $2,612. The convertible saw a production figure of 1,860 weighing 3,325lbs and costing $2,827 in standard trim.
In 1966, along with a reskinning, the Satellite was available with the newly optional "Street Hemi" engine, with two 4-barrel carburetors, and 10.25:1 compression. This engine was rated at 425hp at 5,000rpm and 490lbft of torque at 4,000rpm. The other engine options for 1966 remained the standard 180hp 273, plus the popular 318 at 230hp and the 265hp Commando 361 and Commando 383 at 325hp, down from the 330hp it had on tap in 1965.
The 1967 Satellite did not see any sheetmetal changes from 1966, but there were several trim changes. A new grille featured dual side-by-side headlights, a change in the rear trunk finish panel and taillights included multiple horizontal ribs. New horizontal aluminum trim at the lower body crease with silver paint below gave all 1967 Satellites essentially a two-tone paint scheme. For 1966 and 1967 the interior vinyl seats and door panels were treated to a unique 'Western Scroll' design which mimicked tooled leather in appearance. This was the 'premium' interior shared with the GTX in 1967. For 1966 and 1967 the Satellite was again offered only in 2-door hardtop and convertible form and was powered exclusively by V8 engines. The 361 was eliminated for 1967 models, but a 2-barrel 383 at 270hp was continued with the most powerful Satellite offering for 1967 being a 383 4-barrel rated at 325hp. Production figures for 1966 were 35,399 hardtops and 2,759 convertibles.
Along with a significant restyling, a higher trim Sport Satellite model was introduced in 1968, at which time the Belvedere name was relegated to the low-trim base models. 1968 was also the first year that the Satellite line was expanded beyond the 2-door hardtop and convertible, when a 4-door sedan and station wagon were offered. The 1968 body continued through 1970, with a minor front and rear restyling for 1970, which was the last year for the Belvedere name. 1968 was also the first year for the Plymouth Roadrunner which shared the same body as the Satellite and Belvedere models.
A significant restyling was done for 1971 as the Satellite adopted new "fuselage" styled bodies, with different wheelbases, grilles, and sheetmetal for two and four door models. Sedans were available in base, Custom and Brougham trim, while two doors were called Satellite (a base coupe with rear windows that did not roll down), Satellite Sebring and Satellite Sebring Plus. Wagons came in base, Custom or wood-trimmed Regent models. Two door models had an unusual loop type front bumper (a period Chrysler styling trend), and this body was the basis for the related GTX and Roadrunner models.
Two-door models received a more conventional front end and squared up sheetmetal and rear side windows for 1973, while the sedans and wagons adopted large 5 mph (8 km/h) bumpers for 1974. The Satellite name was dropped after 1974, after which Plymouth's intermediate offerings on the B-body chassis took the Plymouth Fury name.
Check out these other great mopar items Plymouth Roadrunner.
